Xiaomi has finally revealed the long-awaited Redmi K70 Ultra, the latest flagship smartphone from its budget sub-brand. This device offers top-notch specifications and premium features, while maintaining a competitive price.

The back of the device features a flat glass panel with curved edges and a camera island that houses three sensors and an LED flash module. The side frame is made of metal, giving the device a premium feel. Furthermore, the K70 Ultra boasts a IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The dimensions of the device are 160.38 x 75.14 x 8.39 mm and it weighs 211 grams.
The front display is a 6.67 inch OLED panel, developed in collaboration with TCL, which offers 1.5K resolution, HDR10+ support, Dolby Vision, a 144Hz refresh rate, a touch sampling rate of 480Hz and a peak brightness of 4000 nits. The display is flat with a central hole for the front camera. Xiaomi promises industry-leading eye protection in low-light conditions thanks to 3840Hz PWM dimming.
Under the hood, the Redmi K70 Ultra is equipped with the MediaTek's Dimensity 9300+ chipset, based on the 4nm process. Xiaomi has paired this chip with its own proprietary Surge T1 chip for signal enhancement, promising a 12% increase in WiFi performance, a 20% improvement in GPS performance, and a significant 58% increase in 5G WiFi signal strength.
The device is powered by a 5.500mAh battery that supports 120W wired fast charging. The K70 Ultra also includes the Surge P2 chipset for fast charging, the G1 for power management and the D1 as an independent display processor. The available memory configurations are 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB.
As for the cameras, the Redmi K70 Ultra is equipped with three rear sensors: a Sony IMX906 50-megapixel main sensor, 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a 2 megapixel macro lens. The front camera is 20 megapixels, ideal for selfies and video calls. Other notable features include dual stereo speakers, an under-display fingerprint reader, Dual SIM support, NFC, and the Android-based HyperOS operating system.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi K70 Ultra in several color options: Ink Feather Black, Clear Snow White and Ice Blue. The device has a starting price of 2599 Yuan, approximately 330 euros, for the 12GB + 256GB version.
Additionally, a 24GB + 1TB variant of the is available Champion Edition at the price of 3999 Yuan, approximately 500 euros, designed in collaboration with Lamborghini.
