Redmi K80: First Photos of the Next Flagship Killer Are Online

Today, the first real images of the Redmi K80 have leaked on Chinese social media, confirming many of the rumors that have been circulating about the design and specifications of the new smartphone from Xiaomi. After the recent launch of the flagship models Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, attention has in fact shifted to the Redmi K80 series, which should debut by the end of the month in China.

Redmi K80: First Photos of the Next Flagship Killer Are Online

The leaked images reveal a major design revamp for the Redmi K80 series. The rear panel features a new circular camera module located in the upper left corner, similar to Xiaomi's Civi models, known for their focus on selfies. A closer look at the camera module reveals three lenses and inscriptions indicating a 50 megapixel main camera. The glossy look of the back suggests the possibility of a glass design, while the right edge of the device houses the volume rocker and power button.

According to reports, the Redmi K80 series will include at least three models: Redmi K80e, Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro. These models will likely be powered by the soon-to-be-launched Dimensity 8400, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and Snapdragon 8 Elite chips respectively.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite

A recent leak has revealed that the Redmi K80 Pro's rear camera setup will include a 900 megapixel OmniVision Light Fusion 50 main camera a Samsung S5KKD1 32-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2,6x optical zoom. The K80 Pro will also feature a OmniVision OV20B 20 megapixel front cameraThe device is expected to have a battery of approximately 6.000 mAh with support for the quick charge to 120W. There is no concrete information on the camera specifications of the standard K80, but its charging capabilities could be similar to those of the Pro variant.

The Redmi K80 could come with a OLED screen with 1,5K resolution and an integrated optical fingerprint sensor. On the contrary, the K80 Pro could boast a 2K OLED panel with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen.
