REDMI K90 spotted on GeekBench: Snapdragon Elite and 2K display

On board we find the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite, also known as the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition, supported by 16GB of RAM, a configuration designed to ensure fluidity even under intense loads such as gaming, AI, and multitasking. The device's internal codename is "Hannibal," while the top model, the REDMI K90 Pro, is identified as 25102RKBEC and carries the name "Myron." The latter will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, promising even higher performance.
The K series tradition is also upheld on the display front: both models will feature a 2K flat panel, with support for an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The K90 Pro will introduce a periscope telephoto lens for the first time, marking a major leap forward in the photographic department.
On the battery life front, Xiaomi has confirmed a battery of over 7.000mAh for the entire series, a choice aimed at maintaining high visual quality without sacrificing battery life. This balance between performance and battery life could prove decisive for the most demanding users.
According to rumors, the official launch of the REDMI K90 series is expected in October, in line with the wave of flagships that will follow the global debut of the Xiaomi 17 series. Furthermore, it is rumored that the K90 could be the last smartphone overseen by Wang Teng, a long-time figure in Xiaomi's mobile team, making this model even more significant.
