
While Xiaomi prepares for the launch of the series Xiaomi 16 Due in September, the Redmi sub-brand is ready to respond with the debut of the new Redmi K90 range, expected between October and November in China. Among the most anticipated models is the Redmi K90 Pro, which according to the latest rumors will bring with it an important generational leap, both in terms of design and performance.
Redmi K90 Pro: Here are the specifications of the next flagship killer

One of the most interesting elements concerns the photographic sector. The K90 Pro should integrate a periscope camera based on OmniVision OV50Q sensor, 50 megapixel sensor with 1/1.3 inch sizeThis sensor is equipped with the LOFIC and QPD V3 technologies, designed to improve dynamic range, focusing speed and power efficiency. It also supports advanced features such as high-frame-rate synthesis and smooth transitions between images. According to the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, also other brands like iQOO, OnePlus, REALME and POCO will adopt similar solutions in their next flagships.
Display-wise, the Redmi K90 Pro is expected to feature a 6,59-inch LTPS panel with 2K resolution, thin edges and a completely flat surface. The new screen material should ensure sharper visuals and better energy efficiency.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, built with TSMC 3nm (N3P) manufacturing process. The first benchmarks speak of a score close to 4.000 points in single-core on Geekbench 6, a result that places it among the most powerful chips ever seen on an Android smartphone.

Other leaked specifications include a 6.000mAh battery, support for 120W fast charging, IP68 certification, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage. The operating system will be Android 15 with HyperOS 2.0 interface.
As already happened with the Redmi K80 Pro, which was relaunched globally as POCO F7 Ultra, it is likely that the K90 Pro will also be launched outside China with a new name, perhaps as POCO F8 Ultra.
