Xiaomi has launched a new monitor under the Redmi brand, the Redmi Monitor A27U. This 27-inch monitor is designed to offer 4K resolution at an affordable price, making it an attractive choice for those looking for a high-definition display without breaking the bank.
Redmi Monitor A27U is the new economical monitor with 4K resolution
The Redmi Monitor A27U is equipped with a IPS panel from 27 inch with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K). This guarantees sharp and detailed images, ideal for viewing multimedia content and for graphic work. The monitor covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color space and 100% of the sRGB color space, offering accurate and vivid color reproduction. Typical brightness is 300 nits, with a contrast ratio of 1200:1, which ensures good performance in different lighting conditions.
Despite the high resolution, the monitor has a standard refresh rate of 60Hz and a response time of 6ms. These features make it less suitable for competitive gamers who need higher refresh rates, but still adequate for everyday use and casual gaming.
One of the new features introduced with the Redmi Monitor A27U is the “Qingshan Eye Protection” technology. Developed in collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Information and Communications Technology and Zhongshan Eye Center of Sun Yat-sen University, this technology combines display optics with visual health considerations to create a more comfortable user experience . Furthermore, the monitor got the low blue light emission certification by the German TÜV Rheinland, helping to reduce visual fatigue during prolonged use.
The monitor's design features thin bezels on three sides, offering an immersive viewing experience. The monitor stand is adjustable, allowing for forward and backward tilts, swivels and height adjustments for optimal ergonomic comfort.
As for connectivity, the Redmi Monitor A27U is equipped with two HDMI 2.0 ports and two DP 1.4 ports, offering extensive options for connecting various devices. Additionally, it supports VESA 75 x 75mm wall mounting, ideal for those who want to save space on their desk.
The Redmi Monitor A27U is available in China pre-sale priced at 1199 yuan, around 150 euros, with official sales starting on August 12, 2024.
