Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro: first benchmarks, sample photos and alleged launch date

Redmi has been hugely successful with the new generation of mid-range and the proof of this is that Redmi Note 9 Pro has already broken several sales records in Asia, even having sold out stocks in India a few days ago. However, it seems that the launch of the next generation is already ready which should boast two models, such as Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro, terminals that have to poco passed the TENAA certification and which for some hours have also peeped into the well-known database of the Geekbench portal, providing some details on the possible specifications, or rather confirmations as for the presence of the new 5G network connectivity.

The first model to appear in the benchmark portal is the M2004J7BC is related to the Redmi Note 10 Pro, which gets 646 points in the single core test as well as 2634 points in the multi core one. But the most interesting thing lies in the specifications, as we are shown an ARM MT6875 SoC, which should correspond to the new processor that will be unveiled by MediaTek on May 18, as well as an 8 GB RAM allocation.

The standard model, alias Redmi Note 10, listed as M2004J7AC, instead scores 644 in single core and 2156 in multi core, despite the fact that the processor is equivalent to that of the alleged older brother as well as the RAM cut equivalent to 8 GB. A difference in score that at the moment is not justified except in the possibility that Redmi "casts" the processor on the Redmi Note 10 variant at the clock level.

Redmi CEO Lu Weibing takes care of creating hype for the new family of smartphones, who with a place on his Weibo profile also reveals his photographic performances. The CEO does not mention Redmi Note 10 or 10 Pro but the reference to the two new mid ranges appears clear, as you can also verify from the automatic translation of the Weibo post. Apparently the new members of the Chinese brand will not only stand out for the 5G support and the performance of the new MediaTek Dimensity 820 CPU, but also for a great photographic quality.

Unfortunately by Lu Weibing no further rumors are added about the new devices, such as the possibility that these reach the global market or not, or if these are exclusive to China, in consideration of the fact that Xiaomi long ago declared the will to no longer present 4G devices in the native country, a rather logical strategy given the 5G expansion in the east, a rather misunderstood technology in the rest of the globe.

But what awaits us with the launch of Redmi Note 10/10 Pro? From what we have learned from the TENAA certification, we will find ourselves in the presence of a smartphone with a size of 164,15 × 75,75 × 8,99 mm and a weight of 206 grams which will equip an OLED display with a size of 6,57 inches and fingerprint sensor integrated under the panel. As mentioned above, the CPU will be entrusted to the new MediaTek Dimensity 820, which should promise minimal performance to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765G.

At the RAM level we will find cuts of 6 and 8 GB while the storage, expandable with micro SD up to 2 TB, will have cuts of 64, 128 and 256 GB. The battery will not be excessively large but will still guarantee a value of 4420 mAh with support for fast charging at 22,5 W. The design is what you see in the photos scattered in the article, completely similar to the current Redmi Note 9 series, but the punch hole will be abandoned in favor of the return of the glorious drip notch.

All of the above just leads us to the conclusion that Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro are closer to launch than we can imagine, so close that the serious leaker Mukul Sharma, with a post on Tweeter, poses the possibility that the debut is set for the next week.
