It was a rather "exceptional" fact as it was the first Xiaomi smartphone not belonging to the Android One family to receive this certification. In the days of yesterday and today, three other devices of the same brand have begun to enjoy the benefits of certification. But what is it specifically about?
Redmi Note 10S, Note 10 Pro and Redmi 9T have just been certified Android Enterprise. What does this certification mean?
Before seeing what benefits Android Enterprise certified devices can take advantage of, let's see which ones are Xiaomi's just entered the archive. This is the Redmi Note 10S, Note 10 Pro and redmi 9T are Android Enterprise certified smartphones. The first two entered today while the last one, yesterday. Having said that, you should know that in the 2018 Google has introduced this certification to catalog all those smartphones with certain characteristics that could be useful within companies.
I benefits that Google had established for the smartphones in question were, at the time:
- minimum hardware specifications for devices running Android 7.0 and later
- support for the bulk deployment of Android devices with zero-touch enrollment: this means, for employees of a company, for example, they can immediately start working
- delivery of Android security updates within 90 days of Google's release, for a minimum of three years
- availability of unlocked devices, directly from the manufacturer or retailer
