A couple of months ago, the Redmi brand launched the Note 12 series in China. Well, today it seems that the series is close to its global launch. The official Redmi India account has in fact released the first teaser for the next Redmi Note 12. In the poster we discover that the series will be launched on January 5 in India.
Redmi Note 12 Global series officially anticipated: arriving this week
The company has confirmed that it will launch three smartphones from its latest range, including the Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G and Note 12 Pro+ 5G. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is the highest-end phone and will feature a 200-megapixel main camera sensor. Additionally, there's the Note 12 Pro 5G, positioned between the standard 5G and Pro+ models.
Xiaomi has now confirmed another new feature for its Redmi Note 12 series of devices. That is, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G will adopt a 766-megapixel Sony IMX50 main camera sensor, it will also support OIS optical image stabilization.
Xiaomi India executives have already started showing the first samples taken with the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, stating that "the main camera of the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G will help capture dynamic and eye-catching images through a perfect combination of software and hardware tools . The sensor also captures more light and better detail." Xiaomi also claims that the sensor in the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G will be one of the best in the segment when it comes to color reproduction.
Recall that the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G uses a 6,67-inch Full HD + resolution AMOLED display and also offers a peak brightness of 900 nits.
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip, a 5000mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging. The device runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
