The device in question had already been the protagonist of the same update last January, which, however, had been interrupted due to a bootloop problem found on some units. The rollout was therefore paused, but after months the update has taken hold again. Let's find out more details.
The MIUI 12 Stable returns to Redmi Note 5
Redmi Note 5 is a device released more than three years ago, and Xiaomi is keeping its promise, that is to release three major releases for this terminal: from MIUI 10 to MIUI 12. For the moment, however, the update concerns exclusively the Chinese users, after which it will also arrive for European smartphones.
This time the update build is V12.0.3.0.PEICNXM, therefore it is the release China. And in Beta mode. Basically, we are talking about the first release intended for Chinese users who are part of the beta program. So, the Chinese rollout begins, but not everyone will receive it on their device. It will serve a few days of running in and experimentation before all users can install it via OTA update. And above all, before it even arrives here.
Below we leave the recovery link, but recommending one thing: it is better to wait for the active via OTA as it is the Stable Beta. Installation could lead to conflicts (as you may not be part of the beta tester program) and malfunctions. In any case, it is necessary to install the recovery unlocking the bootloader and ROM flash.
