After having anticipated it for a few days, the Chinese technology giant Xiaomi has just presented (quietly) the new Redmi Note 8 2021.

The smartphone is in fact on the official website of the brand, although in reality its retail price has not yet been revealed. But poco bad because we already know that on AliExpress it costs around € 130 and now we also have all the official specifications.
So let's start with the main difference between the Redmi Note 8 launched in 2019 and its 2021 version, namely the CPU. The new device adopts the more modern MediaTek Helio G85 compared to the Snapdragon 665 of its predecessor. Chipset coupled to 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal memory.
All this powers a 6,39-inch LCD-type screen with Full HD + resolution, 500 nits brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 glass cover.
For photos, we have four rear cameras, including the main 48MP (Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor) with an aperture of f / 1,79, a secondary 8MP with ultra wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP for macros. While for selfies there is a 13MP sensor with the various beautification modes.
The Redmi Note 8 2021 integrates a 4000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging (although a 22.5W charger is supplied) through the USB Type-C port at the bottom.
Other specs include upgrading the Bluetooth version from 5.0 to 5.2, an infrared (IR) emitter, a rear fingerprint sensor, a 1217 super-linear high power speaker, FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack to be able to connect our favorite headphones / speakers.
Finally, as we found out in this post, the Note 8 2021 already arrives with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 as the operating system.
