This morning we finally discovered that the next one Redmi Note 8 will be officially presented on August 29, or so we think based on the latest rumors coming from China.
Well, apparently these rumors are now made even more certain by the words of Lu Weibing, the vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of the Redmi brand.
Redmi Note 8: Lu Weibing confirms the arrival with a "Tweet"
In fact, Lu Weibing said on the famous Chinese social media Weibo that “I have the device in my hands. The images are clearer, the battery life is longer, the screen / chassis ratio is increased and to the touch the smartphone looks more premium ".
Now, although Lu Weibing has not mentioned the Redmi Note 8, the name of the smartphone appears clearly in the upper part of the post. This therefore means that Weibing has shared the message right from the device in question.
Going instead to his words, it is easy to extrapolate some info regarding the smartphone. Such as the camera that almost certainly will be the sensor recently presented by Samsung, the ISOCELL GW1, with maximum resolution of 64MP, hence the phrase "clearer images". The second sentence speaks instead of the increased autonomy and therefore the rumors that gave the Note 8 a battery with a capacity of well 5000mAh would be confirmed. A big step forward compared to the Redmi Note previous 4000mAh.
With the last two sentences we can understand instead that the smartphone will have a thinner lower edge which will therefore increase the screen / chassis ratio. It should however remain the typical notch drop in the upper part. While from the design point of view, the device probably has a more curved back that improves the feeling in the hands.
Furthermore, we add that among the other features not mentioned by Weibing, perhaps the most important is the CPU adopted by the smartphone. The Redmi Note 8 is in fact given on arrival with the latest Mediatek Helio G90T.
