Even if we are in a period of calm, as regards the launch of new Redmi devices, the Xiaomi sub-brand does not seem to want to rest. Here then that a few months after the presentation of Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi 8, the two smartphones are now released in two new somewhat interesting colors to celebrate the new year.

As for prices, we have the Redmi Note 8 Pro with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory which costs 1399 Yuan (€ 181), while the variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory costs 1599 Yuan (€ 206). The Redmi 8 in Red Phantom coloring costs 799 Yuan (103 €), with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. In any case, as the foreign currency prices suggest, the two devices will not be available in our country, at least for the moment. But it is not said that Xiaomi Italia does not add them to its portfolio in the following months.
Obviously the specifications of Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi 8 remain unchanged. Let's summarize them starting with the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The smartphone adopts a 6,53-inch diagonal screen with Full HD + resolution and a 91,4% screen to body ratio (screen / body ratio).
The Note 8 Pro is then equipped with a MediaTek Helio G90T, a chip that uses the modern ARM Cortex-A76 architecture that manages to obtain exceptional results on a par with several 2018 flagships with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, at least on paper.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro also adopts a quality photographic sector with four cameras in total and 64MP main sensor, the Samsung ISOCELL GW1, this sensor has a size of 1 / 1,7 inches and a resolution of 9248 × 6936 pixels that have a size of 1,6 microns. Redmi 8 in Phantom Red
Going to the Redmi 8, the entry level of the Chinese brand arrives with a 6,22-inch diagonal screen, HD + resolution and what Redmi calls "Dot Notch", ie the rounded top notch.
On the back of the smartphone we find a fingerprint reader and two cameras. Among these we have the sensor that Xiaomi claims is at the levels of those present in the flagships (and in fact it was on the Pocophone F1), or the 363MP Sony IMX12 with f / 1.8 focal aperture.
