Twist! This morning we updated you about the ccertification of a new device of our beloved brand that would bring the support for recharging Quick Charge 4.0 a 27w. We had assumed that this device was or the long-awaited one POCOPHONE F2 or the Redmi K30, heir to the first pop-up camera phone of the Xiaomi sub brand. The story is changing a bit as fairly authoritative sources have claimed that the smartphone in question would not be one of the two listed above, but the Notes redmi 8 Pro. You will ask yourself "Didn't it come out already?" ... in fact it is true but this will have a Snapdragon processor and not a MediaTek. In short, this is the variant that everyone (or almost) wanted from the beginning.
Redmi Note 8 Pro will also have a version with Snapdragon | Rumor
If you remember well, the last time Xiaomi made such a move dates back to far 2016 when they were presented two models of Redmi Note 4: one with Snapdragon 625 and the other with MediaTek Helio X20. It seems that for the second time the Chinese giant wants to try this move, but what will be the reason hidden under this choice? Moreover it seems that the news is supported by insiders of the caliber of Xiaomishka which, through a tweet, confirmed this theory.

Not only would he confirm that this is a second version of Redmi Note 8 Pro with Snapdragon. We also find Android Lovers always through the same social network.

But what are basically the features that differentiate the first from the second model? There are two: obviously the processor, which according to the rumors will be one Snapdragon 730G, Where G stands for gaming. Does this name tell you anything? Yes, it is same SoC mounted on the My Notes 10, the penta cameraphone from 108 megapixel which in the last period was object of some criticism.
The second difference would be in the charging power. As we told you this morning, the only certain data is that the smartphone certified by the Chinese body supports the recharge from 27W. The version of the Redmi Note 8 Pro that we know, that is the one with the processor MediaTek Helio G90T, supports charging to 18W. So it wouldn't be the exact same smartphone but as usual with Xiaomi, it would be a new device that could easily have another name.
