The Note series by Redmi has always received enormous approval from the tech user, but if up to what time it was generally necessary to wait a year for the launch of a new model, by now we have reached the rhythm in which within a year we can test 3 generations. In fact, if the launch of Redmi Note 7 took place on January 19, 2019, we then witnessed the launch of Redmi Note 8 / 8T and 8 Pro in a very short time and within this month we should also enjoy the presentation of the new Redmi Note 9/9 Pro .
In fact, despite the event set for March 12 was canceled due to the Coronovirus, everything is ready to bring it to the attention of the media and fans of the Chinese brand. Many alleged leaks have circulated in these hours that show the design of the new Redmi Note 9, although in my opinion they are close to reality but they are all fake, but few speak of which hardware the company wanted to integrate into the future best seller.
Redmi Note 9 Pro could equip MediaTek Dimensity 800 CPU in China and Snapdragon 720G in the Global version
This time the Chinese company will amaze us, as the new mid range will be the first smartphone to debut on the market with the new and powerful Mediatek Dimensity 800 processor. And before turning my nose or criticizing, I invite you to reflect on the great success achieved by Redmi Note 8 Pro and the maturity that MediaTek has shown with this new generation of chipsets. So despite the initial criticisms, Redmi has preferred to continue the path of partnership undertaken alongside MediaTek.
But as the criticisms came mainly from the western market, Redmi could give this market a Global version equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, therefore 4G connectivity.
The Chinese variant of Redmi Note 9 Pro will have different specs from the Indian variant.
Most likely the CN will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 5G processor.#RedmiNote9Pro # RedmiNote9series #Xiaomi pic.twitter.com/KzzYCZwLR5- Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) March 5, 2020
The differences between the two processors start from the structure: the Mediatek Dimensity 800 offers a two-cluster structure composed of 4 Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and 4 Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz which is flanked by a Mali GPU G77. The MediaTek SoC is capable of supporting up to four cameras with a maximum resolution of 64 MP and recording video in 4K HDR. In addition, this processor allows 5G connectivity, supports Full HD + resolution screens with refresh rates up to 90 Hz. So on paper we could say that the Chinese version of Redmi Note 9 Pro will be better than the Global one?

Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G instead does not offer support for 5G but only the current 4G standard. The new solution of the American company should replace the current 710/712 and will offer Adreno 618 GPU and structure with Kryo 465 core at 2,3 GHz. Support for the photographic field instead drops to 48 MP, but instead integrates that to WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC and fast charging up to 30W. And would you bet on the new MediaTek processor or would you rather have the confirmation dictated by Qualcomm's solution on the future Redmi Note 9/9 Pro?
