It started as a leak, but has just become a certainty: the Redmi Note 9S exists and will be officially presented on March 23rd. Xiaomi informs us that it will be possible to watch the presentation in a live event starting at 13 (Italian time) on the social media channels of Xiaomi.
Redmi Note 9S: Live presentation scheduled for March 23rd
The Chinese giant has not specified whether it is an event in Italian or not, but considering the fact that it is a global presentation, we assume that everything is in English.
As for the smartphone itself, as we hypothesized the other day, the Redmi Note 9S could be the global version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro presented in India on March 13.
This means that the device could adopt a 6.67 diagonal LCD screen, Full HD resolution (2.340 × 1.080 pixels) and with a hole in the center for the front camera. The smartphone would be powered by an excellent Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G accompanied by 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal memory.
On the Redmi Note 9S we should then find a total of four rear cameras. These include a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor with an ultra wide angle lens (119 degrees), a third macro camera (for taking photos from 2 to 10cm away) and a 2MP depth sensor. While for selfies we have a 16MP front camera.
Finally, the smartphone adopts a huge 5020mAh battery, with support for 18W fast charging. Other specifications include a USB type-C port, Hi-Res Audio, IR port and 3.5 mm audio jack hole.
In any case, at the moment we do not know if there will also be a Max version as for the Redmi Note 9 Pro. So, unless there are updates we can be certain that only the less premium variant of the two will be presented.
