Thanks to the rapid growth of smartphone manufacturers in China, devices produced in the Asian country have gradually become the most in demand in the global market.
Redmi Note series: over 200 million units sold worldwide
To confirm this, as if there was a need, comes the announcement of Xiaomi in which it reveals that the global sales of the Redmi Note series have exceeded 200 million units.
Xiaomi also stated that the Note, as Redmi's flagship series, will always be the one that will popularize high-end products, offering everyone better technology, richer experience and higher quality.
It is worth mentioning that in November 2020 Xiaomi officially announced that global sales of the Redmi Note series had exceeded 140 million units. So doing the math, the Redmi Note series sold 60 million units in about six months.
We also remember that the first Redmi Note was released by Xiaomi on March 26, 2014 and since then we have seen the launch of one or two devices per year, up to the current tenth generation.
Redmi Note 10 that we know very well in Italy but that in China has yet to officially debut, most likely on May 26, so next Wednesday.
That said, as has happened in the past, the series Redmi Note 10 Chinese will be different from our own.
In particular, the series will have a total of three models, namely the standard Note 10 with MediaTek Dimensity 700, the Note 10 Pro with MediaTek Dimensity 900 and the Note 10 Pro + with the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 on board.
For the uninitiated, the MediaTek Dimensity 900 is a new mid-to-high-end 5G processor from the Taiwanese chip maker that uses the same 6nm TSMC manufacturing process as higher-end chips such as the Dimensity 1200 and 1100. compared to other SoCs with production at 7 nm and which therefore has greater advantages in terms of performance and energy consumption.
The Dimensity 900 is then engineered with an eight-core architecture, including two 78GHz Cortex-A2,4 cores and six highly efficient 55GHz Cortex-A2,0 cores, plus a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. and a third generation MediaTek APU with a highly efficient AI processor. Additionally, Dimensity 900 supports a new generation of LPDDR5 RAM and faster UFS 3.1 memory for the first time.
Finally, in addition to the new chipset, Redmi should even bring a 67W fast charging technology, thus another example of "democratization" of high-end technology on relatively cheap devices.
