Xiaomi has finally unveiled the redmi pad 2, the direct successor to the Redmi Pad launched in 2022. This new tablet retains the entry-level approach of its predecessor, but introduces a series of significant improvements, especially in terms of the display and battery.

One of the main upgrades of the Redmi Pad 2 compared to the previous generation concerns the display, which now goes to 11 inches with a resolution of 2.5K (2560 x 1600px). This IPS LCD panel offers a 90Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smoother viewing experience, ideal for streaming and light gaming.
Brightness has been increased up to 600 nits, improving readability in bright environments and allowing for an optimized visual experience even outdoors. Xiaomi has also integrated support for Redmi Smart Pen Stylus, expanding the tablet's usability possibilities for note-taking, drawing and productivity.
The Redmi Pad 2 is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra, a processor that represents an evolution of the Helio G99 present in the first Redmi Pad. Although there is no significant leap in terms of performance, the chipset ensures energy efficiency and smooth application management, making it perfect for browsing, entertainment and basic productivity.
The tablet will be available in Wi-Fi and 4G versions, with memory configurations from 4GB and 8GB of RAM, paired with 128GB or 256GB of storage. Additionally, there is a microSD slot, with support for memory cards up to 2TB, allowing for significant expansion of storage space.
For photos, the Pad 2 includes a front camera from 5MP, useful for video calls and conferences, and a 8MP rear sensor, suitable for occasional document and photo scanning.
On the battery front, Xiaomi has made an upgrade compared to its predecessor: the Redmi Pad 2 mounts a battery 9.000mAh, with support to the quick charge to 18W via USB-C. This capability ensures extended battery life, perfect for streaming, studying and working sessions without the need for frequent recharging.
The tablet comes with HyperOS 2, based on Android 15, introducing a more optimized and fluid interface, designed for intuitive and fast use.
