Xiaomi has officially launched the new global Redmi Pad 2 Pro, presented together with the Xiaomi Pad Mini and the 15T series. This tablet is a versatile solution for those looking for a large display, solid performance and advanced connectivity, all at a competitive price.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro globally official: 2.5K display and 12.000mAh battery
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro features a 12,1-inch LCD display with 2.5K resolution (2560 × 1600 pixels), adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz, and 360Hz touch sampling. Brightness reaches 600 nits in HBM mode, with support for Dolby Vision, DC dimming, reading mode, and wet touch for use with wet fingers. Xiaomi also offers a Matte Glass variant with a nano-textured AG coating, which reduces reflections by up to 97%, improving visibility in bright environments.
On the hardware level, the tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, with Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 cores, flanked by the Adreno 810 GPU. The available configurations are 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, both with LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD.
The operating system is Android 15 with HyperOS 2 interface, which enables interconnection functions between Xiaomi devices: clipboard sharing, remote smartphone control, call synchronization and instant hotspot.
On the photography front, the Wi-Fi model features an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, while the 5G variant features a 13MP rear sensor. Both support 1080p video recording at 30fps, ideal for video calls, online classes, and document scanning.
The battery is one of its strong points: 12.000mAh with 33W fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging, useful for powering smartphones or earphones. The claimed battery life is 14,2 hours of video, 16 hours of reading, and over 105 hours of music.
The tablet includes four Dolby Atmos speakers, two microphones, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and optional 5G support via eSIM. The metal body measures 7,5mm thick, weighs 610g, and is available in Graphite Grey, Silver, and Lavender Purple. Accessories such as a keyboard and stylus are available, but sold separately.
