
Xiaomi has finally revealed the official launch date of the redmi pad 2, which will arrive on 5 June 2025. The company has started sharing teaser images, previewing some of the strengths of the new tablet, designed for those looking for a compact, powerful device perfect for entertainment.

Compared to the Redmi Pad Pro, the Pad 2 focuses on a more compact format and features optimized for streaming, making it the perfect “binge buddy”, as suggested by Xiaomi itself. display will be an 11-inch IPS LCD with 2.5K resolution, refresh rate at 90Hz and a peak brightness of 600 nits, ensuring vibrant colors and smooth images, ideal for movies, TV series and games.
To emphasize the multimedia experience, Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi Pad 2 with four Dolby Atmos-certified speakers, offering immersive and powerful audio, perfect for playing high-definition content.
Under the hood, the tablet will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra, a processor designed for solid performance without excessive power consumption, coupled with up to 8GB RAM, allowing for smooth management of multitasking and the most demanding apps.
For the photographic sector, Xiaomi has opted for a simple but functional configuration, with a 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front sensor, more than enough for video calls and quick photos.

Autonomy will be guaranteed by a 9.000mAh battery, with 18W fast charging, although it has been confirmed that European units will not include the charger in the box.
On the software front, the Redmi Pad 2 will come with Android 15 and the HyperOS interface, offering advanced features like Circle to Search. Additionally, it will be equipped with microSD slot to expand memory and a headphone jack, a feature that is now rare in modern devices.
The device will be available in Mint Green and Black/Grey colorways, maintaining a minimalist and modern design.
Xiaomi will introduce a Wi-Fi version and one with 4G support, allowing you to stay connected even on the move. According to the first sales lists in Europe, the Redmi Pad 2 Wi-Fi with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will be available at a price of 199 euros, while the 4G version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will reach 299 euros.
