REDMI Turbo 4 Pro Coming With Snapdragon 8s Gen4

Qualcomm recently presented its new chipset Snapdragon 8s Gen4, a sub-flagship processor that promises significant improvements in performance and power efficiency. Several manufacturers, including redmi, iQOO, Xiaomi, OPPO and Meizu, have already announced their intention to launch devices based on this new platform. However, while iQOO has already started promotional activities for its upcoming device, REDMI seems to have postponed the launch of its smartphone due to a Xiaomi SU7 electric vehicle accident.

According to reliable sources, Xiaomi and REDMI had planned to start promotional activities for their new devices soon after the Snapdragon 8s Gen4 announcement. However, the Xiaomi SU7 electric vehicle incident forced the company to reconsider its plans. The incident, which attracted a lot of media attention, led Xiaomi to keep a low profile until the official investigation was concluded. As a result, the pre-launch activities of REDMI's new device have been postponed, and it is not yet clear when they will resume.

The SU7 incident has had a significant impact on Xiaomi's public image, prompting the company to focus on crisis management rather than promoting new products. This delay has raised concerns among fans and industry observers, who fear that the launch conference of the new REDMI device, initially scheduled for April 17, may also be postponed.

Despite the delay, the new REDMI device, probably the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro, is set to be one of the first smartphones to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen4. This chipset offers an advanced architecture with a high-performance Cortex-X4 core, three 720GHz Cortex-A3.0 cores, and other cores optimized for efficiency. Additionally, the chip integrates the Adreno 825 GPU, which promises a 49% improvement in graphics performance compared to the previous generation.

The device is also expected to include advanced features like support for Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, Bluetooth 6.0 and a Snapdragon X5 75G modem. On the photographic front, it is expected to support up to 320MP sensors and 4K HDR video recording at 60fps.

Meanwhile, iQOO has officially announced that its next iQOO Z10 Turbo will be the first device to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen4. The launch is scheduled for April, and the company has already started promotional activities. If REDMI were to further delay the launch of its device, iQOO could gain a significant advantage in the market, becoming the first manufacturer to offer a smartphone with the new chipset.
