The sub brand of Xiaomi, Redmi, is getting closer and closer to the launch of the next Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, a device that will bring advanced specifications at an affordable price. While the Redmi Turbo 4 with the Dimensity 8400-Ultra chip was unveiled in China last month, the brand is now focusing on the Turbo 4 Pro, which is expected to feature a more powerful Snapdragon processor and a larger battery.

The notorious Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station has in fact just revealed the key specifications of the Turbo 4 Pro. According to this information, the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset (SM8735), a new processor from Qualcomm that will debut in the second quarter of the year. This processor sits between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and features an advanced CPU architecture and Adreno GPU. Benchmarks indicate solid multi-core performance, making it a strong choice in the upper-midrange segment.
One of the most significant improvements of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro is its battery 7410mAh (with a typical capacity of around 7500mAh). If this information is accurate, the device will have the largest battery ever seen in a mid-range phone from Redmi. Additionally, the device will likely support quick charge from 90W.
According to other reports, the Turbo 4 Pro will feature a OLED display from 6,67 inch with 1.5K resolution and a short-range optical fingerprint sensor. As for photography, the device is expected to have a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Additionally, the Turbo 4 Pro could feature a metal frame with IP68 certification, which improves its durability.
Interestingly, Xiaomi’s other sub-brand Poco will launch the Poco F7 in the second quarter of this year for the global market. The Poco F7 is expected to arrive as a modified version of the Turbo 4 Pro.
