We have been talking about the first real smartwatch of the Xiaomi sub brand, the Redmi Watch, almost every month for about a year, but to date we still do not have an official confirmation of the. Well, apparently the scenario could change in the following days, with a new leak that seems to confirm its imminent arrival.
Redmi Watch: Launch date almost confirmed, it will arrive together with Redmi Note 9 China
The leak, if we can call it that, was released by the Chinese brand in a poster that shows us the highlights of the conference to be held on November 26th. Conference that as we know will see the launch of the Redmi Note 9 series dedicated to the Chinese market. Returning to the smartwatch, this is mentioned among the highlights of the presentation, which means that together with the new Note 9 4G, Note 9 and Note 9 Pro the long-awaited Redmi Watch will finally arrive.
As previously mentioned, the Redmi Watch will be the first smartwatch of the Xiaomi sub brand that to date only has one wearable on the market, the super cheap Redmi Band for the Chinese market, on sale in the rest of the world under the name of Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4C.
As for the specifications of this wearable that promises to be the cheapest in the Xiaomi ecosystem, past leaks have shown us a device with a 1.41-inch diagonal panel, with HD resolution, in color and with a technology to adjust the brightness automatically depending on the external light conditions.
We will then have an independent GPS module that will allow us to keep track of our movements without the need for a smartphone and a heartbeat sensor with 24-hour function. While from the point of view of sport, various sports activities will be available, including which there will also be swimming; the smartwatch is in fact completely waterproof up to 24 meters and integrates the stroke recognition function.
Finally, thanks to an FCC certification we know that the battery capacity that we will find on board the Redmi Watch will be 230mAh and that it will be compatible with both Android 4.4+ devices and iOS 10+ devices.
Now we just have to wait until November 26 to find out the price too.
