A few hours ago we told you about the leak that gave the next flagship produced by Redmi with the name of Redmi X. Well, right now an official statement seems to have arrived that "unfortunately" denies it.
In fact, he was the director general of Redmi and vice president of Xiaomi Group, Lu Weibing, in person to make the denial, so he who knows everything about it.
The Redmi X teaser was a fake, it will have a better name

Image of the Redmi X turned out to be fake
Lu Weibing decided to communicate it on the Chinese social platform Weibo, there he said that "The smartphone will not be called Redmi X, it will have a better name". It is difficult to understand now what he means by better since "Redmi X" did not seem like a bad name to us (even if not very original) and the alternative that emerged in recent days suggested instead the name of "Redmi 2 Pro", in our opinion much less attractive.
In any case, whether it's called Redmi X or Redmi 2 Pro, the strength of the first real Redmi flagship will be the top-of-the-range hardware accompanied by a relatively cheap price.
Lu Weibing has in fact said on several occasions that the device in question will be the cheapest among those equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. It will also have the now rare 3.5mm jack for connecting your favorite headphones, a very thin lower edge, support for NFC technology and a front camera with a pop-up mechanism as seen previously in the official video teaser.
The other specifications that we will probably find on board the Redmi flagship include a rear camera from 48MP (Sony IMX586 sensor) accompanied by a secondary 8MP (telephoto) and a third from 13MP (ultra wide angle). We will then have a battery of over 4000mAh and a front camera from 32MP. While the presence of a fingerprint sensor below the screen and its type, LCD or AMOLED is still uncertain.
