The first Xiaomi sub-brand laptop, the RedmiBook 14, certainly did not achieve the success that was expected. Perhaps because it is not very performing, perhaps because it is too expensive even compared to Xiaomi's alternatives, the laptop has remained a niche product to date.
But Redmi does not seem to give up and has actually anticipated that in a few days we will see a new version of the laptop with a new CPU. What is it about? Let's find out together!
RedmiBook 14 Enhanced Edition coming the August 29
Well, let's start by apologizing to the admirers of AMD because even this time the Chinese giant has not chosen a processor from the Ryzen series. But Xiaomi has opted for the usual CPU produced by Intel, but of two higher generations.
The Redmibook 14 was presented in May of the 2019 in two versions, with an Intel Core i5-8265U processor and with Intel Core i7-8565. Today, Redmi has announced that a variant with a tenth generation Intel processor will be made available. The brand has not specified which CPU it is, but we can hypothesize them ourselves based on previous SoCs. We therefore have the Intel Core i5-8265U which should be replaced by the new Intel Core i5-1035G1, while the Intel Core i7-8565 should be updated with an Intel Core i7-1065G7.
We remember that this is not the first time that Redmi makes changes or adds a new variant of the RedmiBook 14. A few months ago, in fact, the sub-brand launched a new model equipped with an Intel i3 processor, therefore cheaper than previous versions available only with Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i7.
Finally, the new RedmiBook 14 will be called "Enhanced Edition" and thanks to the new CPUs it will be both able to bring an increase in performance, which will decrease consumption by around 13 percent.
