As announced in the previous days, the Xiaomi Mi Fan Festival 2020 was finally held today, or the event programmed by the Chinese brand to celebrate all Xiaomi fans around the world. In this event, the new Redmi Band was presented, which we saw in this article, together with other products both Redmi and Xiaomi, one of these is the new 14GB RedmiBook 16 Ryzen Edition.
RedmiBook 14 Ryzen Edition 16GB / 512GB presented in China
The RedmiBook 14 Ryzen Edition is, as the name suggests, a version of the RedmiBook 14 with a processor produced by the AMD chip maker and 16GB of RAM inside. The other specifications therefore remain unchanged compared to the laptop presented on 18 October 2019. This means that we find a 14-inch diagonal screen with Full HD resolution and very thin edges that surround it for a screen / shell ratio of 81,2 percent . The handset also has an all-metal body and weighs only 1,5 kilos.
As for the processor, only a version with AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor will be available, accompanied by 16GB of RAM, therefore a step forward compared to the 8GB of the previous generation, and 512GB of internal PCIe type memory, therefore among the fastest on the market. The laptop is also assisted by an eighth generation AMD Radeon Vega chip.
Other specifications include support for DTS professional audio and 1C fast charging to recharge the laptop up to 50% in just 35 minutes. We then have the Xiaomi file transmission technology to transmit any type of file from smartphone to laptop and vice versa with a maximum transfer rate of 50 MB / s. Furthermore, RedmiBook 14 Ryzen Edition has a new Modern Standby start function, which can make the laptop boot up and unlock instantly from sleep mode.
The 14GB and 16GB RedmiBook 512 Ryzen Edition will go on sale at a price of only 3599 Yuan, or about 490 euros at the current exchange rate. It will be possible to buy the laptop (in China) starting from April 9th.
