According to the latest news from China, Xiaomi has just announced a new update of the RedmiBook Pro 14 2022.
New RedmiBook Pro 14 2022 released in China: now with the more powerful Intel Core i5-12500H
The update this time is mainly about the processor, which has been upgraded to Core i5-12500H, while the previous RedmiBook Pro 2022 used Core i5-12450H. Although there is not much difference in the model, it is 4P+4E, with a total of 8 cores and 12 threads. It also has Intel Tiger Lake graphics with 48 execution units.
In contrast, the Core i5-1250H is 4+8E, with a total of 12 cores and 16 threads. The number of cores has increased by 50% and the cache has also been increased from 12MB to 18MB. The integrated graphics also see an upgrade with a total of 80 execution units for gaming performance that should undoubtedly be higher.
The other aspects are essentially unchanged. The body of the Redmi Book Pro 14 2022 adopts a CNC integrated fine carving process, which integrates more internal components of the fuselage into the shell. The integrated structural design makes the fuselage stronger and more durable. It is however quite thin at 16mm and weighs around 1,46kg.
The screen has a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a 100% sRGB color gamut, a maximum brightness of 300 nits, ΔE < 1,5, supports DC dimming and a high refresh rate of 120Hz, so it is of a fairly rare screen, both with high definition and high frequency.
The handset is then equipped with a 56Wh battery that supports PD 3.0 fast charging, comes with a 100W gallium nitride charger and has a battery life of up to 9,5 hours.
In terms of interfaces, the RedmiBook Pro 14 Pro has a 3,5mm headphone interface, an HDMI interface, a USB 3.2 interface, a USB-C interface and a Thunderbolt 4 interface.
