What do you mean by fiber modem operation? If you mean the auto-configuration I would not be able to personally tell you as I am not "lucky" to have Telecom, but I can tell you that from the Mi Home application it is easily settable and you should definitely be able to extend the signal of your modem that between other should be one of the most popular and therefore supported.
