Some time ago, if we had been told to give up our beautiful wired headphones we would surely have raised hell 🙂
Today we are instead in the era of BT 5.0 TWS headphones (for True Wireless Stereo newbies) which are becoming popular thanks to the choice of all the major manufacturers to remove the 3.5mm Jack socket from top-of-the-range smartphones. Xiaomi and Redmi have very interesting headphones products (which you can find here) but today I want to talk to you about an alternative model, which I tested and really liked! The Blitzwolf BW-FYE7. Blitzwolf is an emerging Chinese brand that offers its products on the well-known site GOOD BANG (which we want to thank for sending the sample), good value for money devices, which aims to be a decent low cost alternative to create a smart home ecosystem.
Coming to our headphones, let's start from the package that contains:
- Pair of BW-FYE7 headphones
- Headphone charger box
- USB-Micro USB charger cable
- 2 pairs replacement earphone support
- User manual in Italian
The headphones, 2.5cm long, are ergonomically made very well and fit perfectly into the ears, eliminating all external noises, even when turned off. In fact, the first time I wore them I was amazed by this total noise suppression. On the front we find the status LED, the multifunction button and the microphone. In the back at the bottom, under the contacts for charging, you will find the letter who will indicate the right ear to use (LR). The pairing with our phone is very simple, in fact it will be enough to remove them from the charger and they will automatically turn on, flashing red and blue (the right) and blue (the left) waiting to be associated. From the phone, simply search for a new BT device and, after identifying them, enter "0000" as the pin code. The pairing between the earphones will take place automatically. At this point the earphones are paired and every time they are removed from the charger (or turned on manually by pressing the button for 3 seconds) they will attempt to connect automatically. To turn them off, just turn off one and the other will turn off as well. Or leave them unplugged for 10 minutes and they will turn off automatically.
I wanted to talk to you about this model because they impressed me in terms of audio quality and dynamic power on the bass. Being quite an expert on the subject I can confirm that if you are looking for a headphone for listening to your favorite music you have found it. Balanced on medium-high sounds, it gives its best on low frequencies, therefore perfect for those who love music that emphasizes these frequencies. As a lover of music giving a little "tamarra", I consider myself absolutely satisfied with this product.
The autonomy is about 2.5 hours and about 15 minutes before the total discharge you will be notified by a message in English (you will also have the battery bar in the notification area of the phone) and it will take about a couple of hours to recharge them. To recharge, simply insert them into the magnetic base and the red LED will light up, which you can see even with the housing closed! Once charged to 100% the LED will turn off. Considering that the battery of the headphones is 50mAh and the charging base of 500mAh, you can recharge the fully discharged earphones 4-5 times.
Excellent management of the multi-function button that will allow us to:
- Press and hold for 3 seconds - headset power on
- Press and hold for 4 seconds - headset off
- Short press - pause / play
- Press button 3 times - SIRI recall (not personally tested)
- Short press during an incoming call - answer the call
- Press and hold for 1.5 seconds during a call - reject the call
- Short press during a call - ends the call
- Press and hold 1.5 seconds of the right headphone while listening to a song - go to the next song
- Press and hold 1.5 seconds of the left headphone while listening to a track - go to the previous track
So, once worn, you can put your smartphone in the baby carrier and manage everything directly from the earphones. Also excellent was the choice of putting a physical key that is easy to identify and use. Impossible to make a mistake unlike the touch ones I tried.
HEADPHONE LOADER HOUSING
Well made, not bulky (3cm x 7cm x 3.5cm), with an impeccable magnetic closure and a glass lid that will allow us to check the status of the recharge (charging / charged) it can be recharged in about 2 hours (I use a 2A charger). On the front there are 4 white mini LEDs that indicate the charging status of the base. These will flash in sequence, and will indicate the percentage reached: first LED flashing 25%, second 50%, third 75%, fourth 100%. When the percentage is reached, the reference LED will stop flashing and will stay on steady. So with 100% charge you will have all 4 on. In the back there is a button that if pressed will turn on the charging LEDs that will tell us the charge level of the base. Behind we also find the micro USB connection for charging.
