As we know, the series Xiaomi 15 is expected for the end of this year, but thanks to numerous rumors we already have an idea of what to expect from these devices. In particular, the latest news concerns the dust and water resistance of the phone.
The Xiaomi 15 series will be ultra resistant to water and dust (leak)

That is, both the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Pro should be equipped with one IP69 certification for dust and water resistance. We remind you that the current Xiaomi 14 series has IP68 protection. IP69 offers better protection against dust and liquid ingress. Specifically, the IP69 certification means that the phone will be able to withstand high-pressure water jets and steam cleaning.
Furthermore, IP69 ensures that Xiaomi 15 series devices can survive a depth of 1,5 meters for up to 30 minutes. For comparison, IP68 devices can withstand continuous submersion beyond 1 meter. IP69 certification is essential for devices that require frequent and intense cleaning. However, this additional protection could be beneficial for your phone in certain situations.

Moving on to other aspects, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which will be released in October. The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to launch in the same month. According to a previous report, mass production of Xiaomi 15 devices will begin in September.
The Ultra model will likely be released in early 2025, which means that the October launch will include two models: the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Pro. The latter should offer a 50 MP main camera (with 1/1,3 inch sensor size) and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The 50MP main camera will have an “ultra-large” fixed aperture to ensure adequate light capture and better results. To power the system, your phone should be equipped with a battery from 5400 mAh and support the 100W wired charging.
So the Xiaomi 15 series looks very promising, with significant improvements compared to the previous model.
