Xiaomi has finally revealed the premiere date of its highly anticipated series Xiaomi 17: the event will be held in China on September 25th, this Thursday, and will see the debut of three models: Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, along with the new Pad 8 series, designed for the tablet segment.
Official: Xiaomi 17 series launches on September 25, including the Pad 8

The lineup will be the first to integrate the brand new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which Qualcomm will officially unveil on September 23. This is a top-of-the-line chip, with two 4,61 GHz cores and six 3,63 GHz cores, which has already been the subject of impressive benchmarks: 3.096 points in single-core and 9.382 in multi-core, numbers that promise excellent performance for gaming, multitasking, and AI.
Xiaomi has already raised the bar: the base model Xiaomi 17 has been called the "most powerful flagship standard" the company has ever produced, while the 17 Pro is touted as the "best compact for imaging." At the top, the 17 Pro Max is described as "the pinnacle of Xiaomi camera technology."
Design-wise, the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Pro are expected to feature 6,3-inch OLED displays with ultra-thin bezels, while the Pro Max could feature a 6,8-inch display. All three models will offer 2K resolution, with high-quality panels for an immersive viewing experience.
An interesting new feature concerns the Pro and Pro Max models, which will integrate a multifunctional rear display. This secondary screen will support notifications, clock, multitasking, AI interactions, and cross-device functions, expanding the usability possibilities.
In terms of battery life, the Xiaomi 17 is expected to feature a 7.000mAh battery, while the Pro Max could go up to 7.500mAh. The compact 17 Pro also doesn't disappoint, with a 6.300mAh battery and wireless charging support.
The photography department will be one of the strong points: the Pro and Pro Max models are expected to offer a triple 50MP camera, with a SmartSens 590 main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto lens with macro function. All models will be optimized with Leica technology, and the front camera will be 50MP with autofocus.
