We all have our favorite Xiaomi smartphones, above all if we have purchased several over the years. But as much as I liked my first Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, I must admit that my opinion has almost no value when compared with that of "our supreme leader", founder and CEO of Xiaomi, Mr. Lei Jun.
These are the 3 smartphones preferred by Xiaomi founder and CEO, Lei Jun
As you may have already guessed from the title, in fact, Lei Jun has just shared his top 3 with the three favorite Xiaomi smartphones of all time. What is the first one? Well, it is not difficult to guess, it is the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. In particular, Lei Jun loved the special version with entirely ceramic body, which at the time (but still today) was the top of the design in the sector. In addition, the founder of Xiaomi has kept to remind us that the difficulties and production costs of this device were beyond imagination. Each piece of Unibody ceramic had to be sintered at 1400 ° C for 7 days, then two-storey high equipment was needed for printing and weighing 240 tons. Finally, a diamond head was needed, which he sculpted with an accuracy of 0,01 mm and that after each ceramic body had to be replaced.
We quickly remember that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 released in September 2017 was a smartphone equipped with a 5,99-inch LCD screen, Full HD + resolution and an aspect ratio of 18: 9. As for photography, we found the lowest selfie camera in the bottom left corner, with 5MP resolution, while on the back there was a single 12MP camera with 4-axis OIS. Finally the smartphone was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory, the battery instead had a capacity of only 3400mAh.
Let's now move to Lei Jun's second favorite smartphone which is also very likely one of your favorites, let's talk about the Xiaomi Mi 6. But not just any, the CEO of Xiaomi likes the Bright Silver Discovery Edition version.
Again, Lei Jun admits that the production of the Xiaomi Mi 6 Bright Silver Discovery Edition was somewhat complicated. The rear glass shell had a coating created under vacuum, which made it usable even as a mirror. We then had a polished stainless steel frame for an unmatched look & feel.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 launched in April 2017 arrived with a 5,15-inch LCD display, making it the latest truly compact smartphone from the Chinese brand. The device was powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 as the Mi MIX 2, but this time it went up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. Among the other specifications we found two rear cameras, the main having 12MP resolution and the secondary with 12MP telephoto lens, a front that had a resolution of 8MP, 3350mAh battery and 18W fast charge.
Finally, the third smartphone in the heart of Lei Jun is the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, or the latest flagship of the Asian brand. On the Mi 10 Pro he clearly said that Xiaomi has decided not to put any restrictions on prices and therefore adopt all the best technology on the market to create a device without any flaw (if not precisely the price, we add it).
Although still fresh in our memory, we quickly remember that the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro arrives with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 as processor, a minimum of 8GB of LPDDR5 type RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.0 internal memory with Turbo Write function. We then have four cameras with the main having a maximum resolution of 108MP, Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor, a secondary 20MP ultra wide angle, a third 8MP with hybrid zoom and a 12MP telephoto. In front we find a 20MP selfie cam, while a 4500mAh battery takes care of everything.
