The reason for the price increase is mainly due to the cost of the new Snapdragon 8Gen4, which has increased compared to the previous generation. The prices of other components have also increased to varying degrees. According to one source, the MediaTek 9400 SoC will cost around $155, while The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will be priced around $190. Due to the costs associated with TSMC's 3nm manufacturing process, the new processor will be about 20 percent more expensive than its predecessor.

This leak is consistent with an earlier report from Ming-Chi Kuo, who predicted that next year’s flagship processors could be 20% to 30% more expensive than current ones. Kuo also suggested a price range of $190 to $200 for the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
