A long time ago in a far distant galaxy it was customary to develop i rolls of cameras to always have a memory of the most important moments. Actually, not much time has passed, given the speed of the development of technology, and also this aspect concerning the photographic world he's always going forward, always with Xiaomi. Indeed Xiaomi, through the sub-brand Mijia which deals mainly with the development of products for the home and for home automation, but not only seen that among the many devices there are also action cams and scooters, has expected to launch a new product: a photo printer is coming soon Mijia, which will allow us to develop photographs in no time at all and avoiding going to those in duty.
A Mijia photo printer is coming soon
From the photo above we see how the printer has really contained measures; whereas the smartphone by his side seems to be one Mi Mix 3 given the thickness, we can say that in terms of length the device is record-breaking. Different speech for the width, but that is having to develop much larger photographs of 6.39 ", even if the image makes us understand that they will not be still pictures in A4 format.
As we are now used to, the design of this device turns out to be very minimal and is characterized by a ON / OFF button in the lower left corner, besides three LEDs that indicate the functions of the device at the same but on the front. If we look at her well she seems to be the elder sister of the Mobile Photo Printer Online Xprint. As for the functions we still do not know anything, but we expect that Xiaomi, first in the world for "IoT" development, have budgeted for integrate the same technology inside the device and therefore they will surely be available many more features than a traditional printer. From what we can see in this first image we understand that the device can connect to smartphones through bluetooth and the press then takes place wireless.
Also with regard to the price speech we know nothing, except that Xiaomi is used to launching new products with a price lower than those already on the market: it is therefore to be expected that we will find this device, which December 19 will be launched in China, available on various Gearbest and related from next year, to a price less than € 100. We will keep you updated if we receive information about measures, technical specifications and so on.
Interesting device, but I think it came out too late given the times and rock bottom prices of photo prints nowadays. And perhaps not even very cheap when you calculate the price of cartridges and photo paper. I presume it may be of interest to those who still use the old polaroids, like some professional photographer.
Personally I would buy such a device for home: I like the idea of being able to develop a photo myself. Obviously the quality will not be that of a professional print, but a desktop photo I would gladly do.
For work I have printed photos for years with an 8-cartridge epson. I assure you that if you use good paper, your photos will have nothing to envy to professional prints, (which by the way they do with printers too).
Very pretty! Only dilemma ... but the cartridges? 🙂
We still don't know anything about it but we can assume that the cartridges manufactured by Kyocera will be sold separately, as for the Xprint Online. Surely the paper will also be the same: I strongly doubt that a “normal” card will be usable.
Thanks a lot! 🙂
Imagine!
