Starting with the latest updates of the MIUI 12, Xiaomi has introduced numerous innovations regarding the graphic side of the customized interface. In particular we refer to Super Wallpaper, Or the animated wallpaper which are visible both in Ambient on Display and when the screen is on. These can vary both to the touch of the hand and over time, but unfortunately they are exclusive to Xiaomi. Or at least they have been until today. One geek by XDA has created a port for “all” Android smartphones. But be careful, read the article carefully!

Before going to see how to install them on your Android device, some clarifications. Read carefully: not all Android smartphones are compatible with Super Wallpaper, or rather the latter are not with smartphones. It is good to remember that Xiaomi has already announced that only the devices of the brand with Snapdragon 8XX they can install them and make them work. Similarly, the developer of the port in question states that:
- these wallpapers need a very performing device to work well. The renderer used is OpenGL, so the better your device's OpenGL performance, the better it looks (this does not mean that all devices are OpenGL compatible!)
- these wallpapers will not work on some SoCs due to a different implementation of OpenGL ES, such as certain devices Exynos, Kirin e MediaTek (as mentioned above, in fact)
