Xiaomi SUV caught live, but it is not produced by Xiaomi!

In a world where surprises are never lacking, here comes the news that no one expected: a Xiaomi SUV has been spotted, but it is not produced by Xiaomi! Yes, you read that right. This bold move comes from a manufacturer of scooters for the elderly, known as Laotoule.

Xiaomi SUV caught live, but it is not produced by Xiaomi!

Recently, a video went around the web, showing an electric vehicle for the elderly that seems to have taken inspiration, if not copied, from the design of the Xiaomi SU7. At first glance, this scooter looks like a miniature SUV, with its iconic headlights and closed front grille perfectly imitating the front end of the SU7. Even the side air intakes, although decorative, have been reproduced with surprising precision.

The paint on this Laotoule is so smooth and shiny that it could be the envy of many luxury cars. Some Chinese users joked that after years of car production, great progress is finally seen. And how can you blame him? Laotoule doesn't just stop at the headlights and grille: it also has frameless exterior mirrors and full-width taillights, just like the Xiaomi SU7. Of course, the quality of the materials is not comparable to the original, but the visual effect is remarkable.

Despite being a vehicle intended for the elderly, the dimensions of the Laotoule are anything but small. In fact, it is quite impressive compared to common scooters for the elderly. This suggests that the price will not be cheap at all. However, there is a big “but”: security. Laotoule, unfortunately, leaves a lot to be desired in terms of security. The chassis, cover parts and batteries are of questionable quality, and some unscrupulous manufacturers even use parts that should be scrapped. In the event of an accident, there is practically no protection for the occupants, and there is also the risk of spontaneous combustion.

So, if you are thinking of buying this “SUV” for seniors, be very careful. It might seem like a bargain, but security is priceless. And who knows, maybe one day we will see Xiaomi respond with a real SUV that will make all the Laotoules in the world pale. Until then, let's enjoy this ironic parody on wheels.
