Need to buy a tablet? This TABWEE W90, could be the right one!
As I always say, in recent years they have certainly gone out of fashion a bit given the increasingly large smartphone displays. We must also say that years ago they were really expensive and buying a tablet made little sense. Today, however, if you want to watch your favorite streaming app on the go, we really have many alternatives and at very interesting prices. We can buy complete devices for less than €150. The example is the TABWE W90 which I have just tested and in this article I will talk about it in depth.

If you don't buy with special bundles, the package is a bit sparse. Let's see the contents:

The lack of a charger makes me turn up my nose a bit, especially on products like these that have low charging power and therefore the expense for a charger would be really cheap.
AESTHETICS AND DIMENSIONS TABWEE W90
I must say that N-one from an aesthetic point of view you don't have to learn from anyone! This Npad Ultra is also a real jewel, made entirely of heavy aluminum alloy 534Gr and is often alone 7.6 mmThis thickness combined with the weight gives us a good grip and a wonderful feeling of comfort when we hold it in our hand, despite the large display of well 11". The other measurements are 241mm x 162mm also contained, thanks to the fairly small frames, always considering how much the Display offers us in terms of dimensions.
On the upper horizontal side we find the power button, the volume rocker and the microphone, while on the lower horizontal side the 2 stereo speakers. On the left vertical (short) side the trolley for the SIM and the micro SD (Or dual sim), the USB charging socket Type C and the ever-popular audio input 3.5mm jack! The right vertical side remains “clean”. On the back we find, at the top left, the slightly protruding but well-finished camera module. The color of the tablet is a beautiful and elegant dark gray that makes it a very elegant product and retains fingerprints very little! The only flaw from this point of view is the not impeccable construction, I notice some small creaking even if I must say that it does not create problems during use.

The technical sheet is certainly very complete. There is even a telephone module, so you can use the tablet to make calls just like a telephone. This is a feature that is very often absent in tablets, so very good from this point of view. Connectivity is 4G LTE, dual sim and dual standby, including band 20, so in particular cases we could also use it as a phone. Note the presence of the input 3.5mm audio which will surely make lovers of their old headphones happy.
DISPLAY
The display is a great unit to 11 inches with resolution 1920x1200p. The colors have an excellent balance, the blacks are quite deep and we have several settings to calibrate it according to our preferences. We will also have the possibility to set a night mode which we will use to avoid straining our eyesight precisely when we use it in the evening and we remember the presence of the TÜV certification that will help us not to strain our eyesight during prolonged use. It is truly enjoyable to enjoy videos at maximum definition and the reduced frames make everything even more pleasant. The maximum brightness is not a disclosed value, but I must say that inside you can see very very well. Obviously, do not think of seeing how you can do with a latest generation smartphone under direct sunlight, but you certainly cannot complain
AUDIO
Pleasant discovery! The speakers are positioned in the correct way, that is, on the long rear side so as not to cover them in the case of landscape vision (the obvious one for enjoying multimedia content) and the sound is certainly superior to many other tablets I have tried, even higher-end ones. The medium-high frequencies are good, clear and clean but also the low ones where we find a "body" that in tablets, as I said, is difficult to find. Listening to films and TV series is certainly very good, and listening to music alone is also absolutely usable. Here, if you are a lover of EDM music, perhaps it would be better to connect a BT speaker, but as a matter of fact, it would be better to do so on any mobile device.
SOFTWARE
The TabWee W90 gives us a pleasant surprise right away, as soon as we turn it on, namely Android 15! In fact, there are not many, if not very few, tablets updated to the latest Android release! But the surprises do not end here. In fact, we have many customizations that will make us fully enjoy our tablet and it is the first time that I find so many. The first, which is truly a rare commodity, is the ability to set automatic on and off, a feature that I personally cannot do without.
We then find a series of options to change the themes, the background and the way in which to receive notifications!
The “security and emergency” section is also excellent, where we can set a series of information and notifications for any emergency messages for weather events such as earthquakes.
There is also a section on “digital wellbeing and parental control” where we can set limits for various applications and monitor our children's activity.
The ability to use gestures to navigate is also very good, such as taking screenshots with a three-finger swipe down!
What is very important is compatibility with the highest level of protection of digital contents Widevine L1, to make a long story short you will be able to enjoy the contents of your streaming services (Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Video, etc.) with the highest resolution available on the platform!
There is even integration with Gemini, Google's AI assistant that will help us in all those daily operations such as taking notes, dictating texts, writing articles, etc.
From the “tablet information” menu click on RAM and you can add up to 16Gb virtual to the 8Gb physical! This will obviously be a great help if you use a lot of multitasking.
A software gem that I really liked is found in file sharing. When you select a photo to share, the selection to crop it will automatically appear in case you need to send only a part of it! Great idea that I saw for the first time on our W90, never found even on smartphones.
CONNECTIONS
The networking and connections sector is excellent. In fact, the Wi-Fi dual band, so also with the band 5Ghz, BlueTooth 5.0, the telephone connection 4G LTE with dual sim (With 20 band included) and even the ability to make voice calls on the telephone line. Excellent connection via Wi-Fi on 5Ghz lines, very fast and stable. I also tested the quality of the GPS chipset and from this point of view I am also satisfied (GLONASS and Galileo). The ability to use the navigator on such a large display is really excellent. There is memory expansion via MicroSD (up to 2TB) which however you cannot use simultaneously with the dual sim (so single sim and microSD or Dual Sim without memory expansion). The fast 18W charge will be done via the Type C port.
CAMERAS
As is obvious, a tablet is certainly not a device usable to capture our best moments.. in fact the cams that are usually mounted are only discrete, normally used for video calls. On our W90 we find a triple rear module but I suppose it is only for aesthetic reasons and the camera is only one. In fact, there are no modes such as "wide" or "macro" that could make us think of the presence of other sensors and even including the other lenses in portrait mode you do not see variations in the shots that could perhaps presuppose a depth sensor.
That said, the rear camera has a sensor 16Mpx with autofocus while the selfie one from 5Mpx. Video recording for both reaches resolution FHD 30fpsThere are 3 shooting modes, automatic-Overview-ritratto. In portrait mode we will also have a series of very interesting filters to improve our portraits/selfies: blur, acne, lighten, tone, enlarge, slim, lips.
The shots are certainly much better than the average of similar products, nothing that a low-end smartphone can't do, but I appreciate the fact that they can easily be used for our social networks. Of course, the advice is to shoot in optimal lighting conditions and have a steady hand as there is obviously no optical stabilization.
I found the automatic smile shot option very nice and it works really well! You just need to enable the option in the camera settings and to take the photo you just need to smile.

AUTONOMY TabWee W90
As for battery life, we could obviously record very different values, based on the type of Internet connection used (Wi-Fi or LTE/LTE Dual SIM), based on how much signal the Tablet is hooked up to (intensity is particularly important in 4G connections) and of course which applications we use (playing Real Racing is one thing, browsing our FB home page is another). The maximum performance I achieved, with a Wi-Fi connection and mixed use between videos, games and social media, is about 8 hours of screen on in 2 full days! Considering the resolution and size of the display, I would say I give it full marks!
PROJECTED IMPACT
After telling you about this tablet, let's get to my personal conclusions, even if you probably already have an idea about the product. As always, to give a final judgment we must consider the price of our Tabwee W90, which is around 140€ net of all the discounts we find on Amazon (so with a total guarantee on our purchase). Let's say that at this price you can find many other products with many accessories included such as keyboard, mouse, cover, etc. but qualitatively they do not reach the level of ours W90. What undoubtedly struck me is the good portability thanks to the reduced weight and thickness, a software that is definitely better than all those I have tried in this price range, good battery life, good camera, excellent capacity thanks to the 256GB ROM (expandable up to 2TB) and good multitasking management thanks to a generous amount of physical RAM 8GB (expandable to 24Gb thanks to the virtual one). Good display, very good audio that will allow us to enjoy music and our favorite TV series in high definition thanks to the compatibility Widewine L1. In short, the aspects that did not convince me are really few, perhaps the most annoying is that of a not impeccable construction but I must say that the pluses far outweigh this small defect. For this reason I feel like recommending this tablet to you because I am quite certain that you will be satisfied with it.
