The “Telephone Museum” opens with over 2000 models to see | Photo

Have you ever wanted to go to a telephone museum? Well, from today you can thanks to a project which, for now, is only available online. This is a very interesting initiative set up by Ben Wood, Chief Analyst at CCS Insight this month. The "Mobile Phone Museum” is a project conceived by Ben in 2004, but after joining forces with another collector Matt chatterley in 2019, it concretely developed into something real.

The "Telephone Museum" opens for the first time, i.e. an art gallery that includes over 2000 models to see. But how cool is that!

The two, in the Telephone Museum, managed to collect over 2000 device models (not smartphones, or rather, not only) of over 200 different brands. You can find many devices legendary di Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Alcatel and some lesser known brands, but also some newer devices like OnePlus.

The Museum would not work if Vodafone did not sponsor it. This vector will boost the development of the museum for the next five years. Who knows, maybe the collection will find one permanent space, not just for one day. The museum also has a web page, which is necessary as it is virtual. You can browse a rich collection which is cataloged in various sections such as i James Bond phones, best seller, first or ugliest phone.

Ben Wood has been collecting phones for over 24 years, but he and his partners don't have them all yet. There are some more wanted phones they wish they had in the museum. But how to do it? If someone has them, you can donate them and also have a recognition within the site.
