Mobvoi is one of those established companies in the wearable sector, thanks to the TicWatch series, but perhaps few people know that for some time the company has also had expansionary aims in the sector of true wireless headphones, which we have already been able to appreciate here on the channel. With today, however, the company wanted to raise the bar, presenting its first TWS headphones with active noise cancellation, alias the TicPods ANC, equipped with smart functions that make them particularly innovative in a market now populated by clones and low-cost headphones. .
The main feature of these new TicPods ANC is precisely the active noise cancellation, which boasts three different modes thanks to the dedicated software designed specifically by Mobvoi. By pressing and holding for two seconds you can choose between the Quiet Mode, which eliminates up to 35 dB of noise, therefore suitable for complete isolation from the surrounding environment, or you can choose to take advantage of the Sound-Passthrough Mode that allows us to isolate ourselves but without giving up the noises coming from the surrounding environment, therefore suitable for example during jogging and finally the ANC-Off mode, which completely turns off any noise reduction, thus relying exclusively on passive insulation.

Both headphones can be used independently as a headset for calls, and you can switch between mono and stereo mode on the fly by simply pulling the second headset out of the case. Connectivity with the smartphone takes place via Bluetooth 5.0, ensuring connection stability as well as zero latency.
We find a 50 mAh battery on each earphone that guarantees us an autonomy of about 4,5 hours while the case, with integrated 400 mAh battery, allows up to two full recharges of the earphones, which in turn require an hour to the recharge. The battery can be recharged via a USB Type-C connector.
From an aesthetic point of view there are no particular innovations, proposing itself with a classic pole look and in-ear type drivers. In the package there are the usual rubber pads of different sizes to better adapt to the ear cups, while the commands for music and call control are done via touch even if compared to other Mobvoi solutions, we lose control of the volume adjustment. The specifications conclude with a weight of 5 grams for a single earphone and 42 grams for the case.
The appeal also lacks wireless charging while the drivers for the delivery of audio have a diameter of 13 mm. The ANC TicPods are in pre-order on the Official site of Mobvoi at a price of 89.99 €, but for the next 7 days they will be discounted by 10%, lowering the price to a total of 80.99 €.
