The global technology brand HONOR made its debut at VivaTech 2024, one of Europe's largest events dedicated to technology and innovation. During its keynote, HONOR presented its innovative approach to artificial intelligence and unveiled its pioneering four-layer AI strategy. HONOR also announced upcoming Gen-AI experiences with Google Cloud, which will be featured on its future smartphones, thus opening up exciting possibilities to improve user experiences.

During the keynote at VivaTech 2024, HONOR presented its four-layer AI architecture and demonstrated how its priority is to proceed towardsAI integration in MagicOS. This architecture therefore includes distinct levels.
- At the lowest level, theCross-device and cross-OS AI forms the basis of an open ecosystem, which allows the sharing of computing power and services between devices and operating systems.
- The second level (Platform-level AI) allows you to have a personalized operating system, which allows intent-based human-machine interaction and personalized resource allocation.
- At the third level, theApp-level AI is poised to introduce a wave of innovative and generative AI applications that will revolutionize user experiences.
- Finally, at the top, the Interface to Cloud-AI services level provides users with easy access to massive cloud services while prioritizing privacy protection, creating a truly holistic and future-oriented AI experience.
As part of MagicOS 8.0, Magic Portal is the industry's first intent-based UI, which understands user behavior and simplifies complex tasks in a single step. Magic Portal currently supports 100 flagship applications across seven scenarios, including travel, productivity, messaging, search, entertainment, shopping and social media, with plans to expand usage scenarios to deliver even more seamless and intelligent AI experiences in the future .

By using artificial intelligence to learn from a large set of Studio Harcourt portraits, the HONOR 200 Series has managed to break down the entire portrait photography process into nine distinct steps and perfectly replicate Studio Harcourt's entire method, ensuring portraits flawless and studio quality with every shot.
The HONOR 200 series will be launched in Paris on June 12 and will be equipped with MagicOS 8.0, further solidifying HONOR's commitment to democratizing AI technology. To make AI more accessible to a wider audience, HONOR also announced plans to ship MagicOS 8.0 to its HONOR Magic V2 (rollout already started) and HONOR 90 devices, allowing more users to experience the power transformative of AI.

On the occasion of the event, HONOR also hosted an interesting round table with the participation of Dr. Justine Cassell, an esteemed expert in the sector. The discussion delved into the future of multimodal interaction, highlighting how this integration improves the convenience and privacy protection of smart device users.

The rise of wearable devices, such as rings and pins, along with powerful smartphones, shows that AI is increasingly comfortable integrating verbal language, non-verbal cues such as gestures and facial expressions, and para-verbal elements such as speech intonation. This predicts the adoption of multimodal artificial intelligence on phones. The more modalities we can integrate into an AI system, the more types of people we can help with that AI system. “
