vivo V50 certified in the US: photos and specifications

Recently, EEC certifications have emerged for several devices, including vivo V50 (V2427) and vivo V50e (V2428). Well today another certification body, the NCC, has completed work on the V2427 and shared images of not only the device, but also its charger and battery.

vivo V50 certified in the US: photos and specifications

The vivo V50 appears to be closely related to the vivo S20, which launched in China in November. Photographed with a measuring ruler for reference, the device measures 160 mm in height and 74 mm in width, corresponding to the dimensions of the S20, so this should mean that the device adopts the same 6,67-inch display.

Other photos show the battery (model BA77), a Li-Ion cell with a nominal capacity of 5.870 mAh (22,55 Wh) and a typical capacity of 6.000 mAh (23,04 Wh). This is where the V50 differs from the S20, which has a silicon/carbon battery with a larger capacity of 6.500 mAh.

The vivo V50 is equipped with a 90W charger, with a maximum charging mode of 11V at 8,2A. It also comes with a USB-A to C cable.

Outside of the NCC's purview, there are two camera lenses visible on the back of the V50. If they are the same as the S20, they will be a main camera from 50MP (1/1,55”, OIS) and a 8MP ultra-wide camera (106 °). On the front, there is a single punch-hole camera, which should have a sensor from 50MP.

There is no official launch date for the vivo V50 (and the V50e and other members of the series). However, the vivo V30 was unveiled in February 2024 and the V40 in June. So, if we were to speculate, we should expect to hear about the V50 series in 2-4 weeks. So, we’ll just have to wait for the first official info from the brand, unless there are any more leaks before the launch, of course.
