Vivo X Fold 5 unveiled in first official image

The Vivo X Fold 5 will feature two LTPO 8T panels, one for the internal display and the other for the external one, ensuring a premium visual experience. This type of screen allows for a adaptive refresh rate, improving the smoothness of animations and reducing power consumption.
One of the most impressive updates concerns the lupeak brightness, reaching 4.500 nits, ensuring perfect readability even under direct sunlight. Vivo has also integrated a high-frequency PWM dimming technology, combined with the TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0 certification, reducing eye strain, especially during prolonged use.

Both screens have been optimized with Zeiss Master Color, ensuring accurate and vibrant color reproduction, enhancing the viewing experience for photos, videos and multimedia content.
In addition to the details on the display, the image shared by Boxiao It also reveals a change in the design of the device, with the introduction of a new physical button on the left edge. This button replaces the alert slider found on the X Fold 3 series, but its exact function has not yet been confirmed. It could be a programmable button, useful for quick shortcuts, AI activation, or specific functions related to multitasking.
Vivo has revealed that the X Fold 5 will be one of the most durable foldables ever, designed to operate even in temperatures as low as -20°C. Additionally, the device will offer IP5X certification for dust resistance and IPX9 for water protection, ensuring greater durability than previous models.

This focus on durability suggests that Vivo has designed the X Fold 5 with a reinforced build, opting for premium materials that enhance the device’s longevity and reliability over time.
While Vivo hasn't revealed the full specifications yet, some rumors suggest that the X Fold 5 could feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen4, one of the most powerful processors of the moment, supported by memory configurations that reach up to 16GB RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
On the camera side, the collaboration with Zeiss could result in the implementation of a 50MP main sensor, with dedicated optimizations for low-light photography.
Battery life will also be a key feature. Vivo could adopt a battery 5.000mAh with support for ultra-fast charging, ensuring reduced charging times and prolonged use, without compromising on performance.
