Living announced a new member of its Y series, the Vivo Y300i, a device with improved specifications compared to its predecessor, the Y200i. The new model introduces upgrades such as a larger battery, 5G support and a high refresh rate display.

At first glance, the Vivo Y300i comes with a classic design for a budget device, featuring a 6,68-inch HD+ LCD display. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring fluidity in animations and a good visual experience. The display also includes a front camera from 5MP, positioned inside a central hole.
The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, a 4nm octa-core processor that combines Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 CPUs, accompanied by the Adreno 613 GPU to handle the graphics department. This configuration offers reliable performance for everyday tasks, with a balance between power and energy efficiency.
The device is available with up to 12GB RAM, which thanks to the virtual expansion function can reach 24GB, offering great fluidity even with heavy applications. Storage options reach 512GB with UFS 2.2 technology, but the presence of a slot for expansion via microSD has not been confirmed.
On the back, the Vivo Y300i features a main camera from 50MP with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. However, there is no mention of additional sensors, so the photographic experience could focus on the quality of the main sensor. For security, the device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, integrated into the power button, which is a practical and fast solution.
One of the strong points of the Vivo Y300i is its battery 6.500mAh, which guarantees considerable autonomy even for intensive users. The Charging is supported up to 44W, allowing you to quickly bring the device back to life. For connectivity, the Y300i does not disappoint, with support for 5G (SA/NSA), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port. While it retains stereo speakers and USB-C audio, it does lack a 3,5mm headphone jack.
The Vivo Y300i is available in three elegant colors: Jade Black, Titanium and Rime Blue. Despite the large battery, the design remains thin, with a thickness that varies between 8,09 mm and 8,19 mm depending on the color, and a weight of between 205g and 206g. This makes it practical and easy to handle for a phone with a long battery life.
Price and Availability
The Vivo Y300i is available in three configurations:
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – CNY 1499 (around 192 euros),
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage – CNY 1599 (around 205 euros),
- 12GB RAM + 512GB storage – CNY 1799 (approximately 231 euros).
Sales in China will begin on March 14, 2025. There is currently no information on international availability.
