What do you think of this Xiaomi patent with two selfie cameras at the corners?

By now fashion, as we know, is the xiaomi camera angles. Despite the fact that only a few years have passed since all the major smartphone manufacturers began to jump on this trend, even bringing it to extremes as we have seen happen September 24th Mi Mix Alpha which has well 180% of screen thanks to surround dislpay. The time of the physical keys is now disappearing and with them we are seeing less and less cameras that take up space on the display. To come here incotro Redmi this year presented the Redmi K20 and its pop-up camera, or even earlier Xiaomi with the Mi Mix 3 which had a front camera that compares thanks to the slider mechanism. But if our beloved brand had found a new solution for an optimal position of the selfie camera ... or rather, two selfie cameras?

What do you think of this Xiaomi patent with two selfie cameras at the corners?

We come to know thanks to TigerMobiles.com is Xiaomi has presented a curious patent that would allow a future device to have not one, but one two selfie cameras (therefore the front ones) in a position that can hardly be annoying, or to the corners. We will have two notches on the display but thanks to their position, paradoxically, they will not bother us so much.

In reality the options we see in these I imagine are different: the first, ugly as hell, provides the two cameras at the corners, but with two protrusions like "horns" that objectively cannot be seen. It is true that in this way it is possible to have a percentage of 100% of the screen that otherwise it would not be reachable; in the second case let's see how the two cameras are always placed at the corners but a little bit more centralized, thus creating a notch that takes the full width of the smartphone going to bring what is the chin of many devices in the upper part; in third option instead, we always find two cameras at the corners but well attached to the frames. Probably among all of them it is the one that visually turns out to be the most decent and that doesn't bother you in daily use; finally, the fourth option shows us something similar to the third where, however, land corners curves that house the sensors are more round and elegant (note that even in the lower part there are two curves).

That being said, what is the use of cameras in this position? In reality we do not know, but without doubt this solution allows us to have well two front sensors dedicated to the much-loved selfies, instead of just one as we are used to seeing on the market. In addition to this we see an attempt by the company to find one solution that does not punch with the aesthetic side of their own smartphones. What do you think? Would you like this idea and how would you improve it? The forocamere (we wrote well, isn't it a mistake) at the corners of the pop-up?

The distance between the two objectives is approximately equal to the distance between the pupils, so I suppose it is thought to make videos / direct in 3D. In that case, however, it is not clear why this choice is not also applied to rear video cameras
