About two weeks ago, Xiaomi surprised us with the presentation of a small gadget that allowed to measure the lengths on surfaces up to 100 meters. The brand to which the gadget belonged is called Duka and just today, with this brand, a new product appears, which we could define as the natural evolution of the previous model proposed in crowdfunding by the Chinese company.
We are talking about a laser rangefinder, which allows you to measure distances up to 40 meters in a few moments and in a precise way. The utility naturally ranges from simple do-it-yourself to more professional operations as the new Duka digital meter also allows the measurement of areas, volumes, angles and diagonals. Therefore the help of third persons will no longer be needed to measure distances beyond the reach of our arms and maybe we could invent small surveyors / architects, to re-plan the spaces of our home's furniture.

With Duka distances are measured by laser
As already mentioned the new Xiaomi Duka, allows you to make continuous measurements, calculate the areas and the volume of the rooms (for example to calculate how much paint is needed to paint the walls of the room), measure angles and diagonals and much more. The laser rangefinder structure is completely made of aluminum and integrates a 200 mAh battery under the body, which can perform up to 3500 measurements before being recharged via the USB connector on the Duka body.
The gadget is really compact enough to always be carried inside the pants pocket, thanks to dimensions of 86 x 22 x 11 mm and 28 grams of weight. In addition, we find a lanyard to always have the new Xiaomi laser rangefinder handy, which at the moment is already available at some online stores, including EBay.
