Today the well-known Dutch site Leadsgodigital revealed what should be a new smartphone patent just certified by Xiaomi.

Xiaomi patents a new flagship design: will it be the Xiaomi 12?

As shown in the figure, the new device adopts a solution with a hole in the top center and curved screen, but the curvature of the curved surface is relatively small and the opening of the front camera is also very small.

In the back we see instead a rectangular-shaped module with a total of four cameras inside. Among these, the lower one could be a periscope lens sensor for high zooms. Others should adopt a wide angle lens, an ultra wide lens and a 2x telephoto. Also on the left side of the module we note the presence of a flash positioned vertically.

It is not yet certain whether the design of this smartphone matches the upcoming Xiaomi 12 and at the moment there is not much information on the design of the Mi 12. What we know, according to several sources, is that we should find a curved screen with a lesser curvature than the predecessors, a hole in the top center for the front camera and a rear sensor of "only" 50MP, instead of the 100MP as on the two previous generations.

In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi Mi 12 will be the first to be equipped with the next generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8xx flagship processor. This chip is expected to be built using a 4nm manufacturing process and will be manufactured by Samsung. It is composed of 1 × 3,0GHz Cortex X2 super core along with 3 × 2,5GHz big core and 4 * 1,79GHz little core. So a total of eight cores, while the GPU will be an Adreno 730.

According to several previous leaks, the next Xiaomi 12 should be announced in December in an event immediately the Snapdragon Technology Summit in which the new chip of the Snapdragon 8 series will be launched.

If they make a mini model (in every sense) with the same design it will make a bang.
