This morning, the founder and president of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, announced the main parameters of the cameras on the next models of the Xiaomi 12 series, both equipped with high-end sensors produced by Sony.

In particular, the Xiaomi 12 will be equipped with a 50 megapixel main camera and the sensor is the acclaimed Sony IMX766, which can be defined as one of the best on the market and which we find on several flagships already launched previously.
As for the Pro version of the Xiaomi 12, on this device we will find the new Sony IMX707 which will make its world debut. It is a 50MP sensor with a 1 / 1,28 inch surface, with pixel binning technology you get to 2,44 um pixels and a 49% increase in light input. The Sony IMX707 is therefore one of the best smartphone sensors ever produced by Sony.
In any case, since Xiaomi has publicly stated that it will challenge Apple's high-end mobile phones in all respects, some Chinese users have published a comparison between the sensors of the Xiaomi 12 and iPhone 13 series.
