As we know, Xiaomi plans to launch a new super flagship that focuses all on Leica optics at the beginning of July and, at the same time, it will also be the first brand to release the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra changes its name: it will be called 12S Ultra
Well, according to several previous reports, it was believed that this model would arrive under the name of Xiaomi 12 Ultra, but the documents leaked today seem to reveal more to us. As we can see in the photo above, in fact, the smartphone would have been renamed Xiaomi 12S Ultra and the first exclusive gift box would have already been prepared.
This seems to imply that the entire Xiaomi 12S series will debut at the same time, with the Ultra version that would be the long-awaited "super flagship" of the brand.
In any case, according to the leaks of the previous weeks, the whole Xiaomi 12S series will be equipped with the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor, but there will also be some models with the powerful Dimensity 9000/9000 + on board. As mentioned earlier, the highlight of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will be the fine-tuning of the camera in collaboration with Leica, including the main camera with large sensor, the ultra wide angle lens and the periscope telephoto lens which should also support the Optical OIS image stabilization.
Not only that, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra should also adopt the famous Leica image algorithm which supports the Leica 8K Movie Master video filter, as well as support the Leica natural color, black and white filter and so on.
As for other specifications, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra should arrive with a 6,73-inch flexible curved screen of AMOLED type, 2K resolution and with a hole in the middle for the front camera. The smartphone will then be equipped with up to 512GB of internal memory and 67W wired flash charging.
