Xiaomi 13 will have a design with four iPhone-style symmetrical edges (leak)

In the last few days, new rumors continue to follow each other about the next flagship series from Xiaomi, the Xiaomi 13.

Xiaomi 13 will have a design with four iPhone-style symmetrical edges (leak)

Today, blogger Ice Universe broke the news that the symmetrical four-sided design around the screen that we see on the Galaxy S22 and iPhone will be widely used in high-end devices in 2023, including the Xiaomi 13. Which means the series Xiaomi 13 will be the first from Xiaomi with edges of equal size on all sides.

At the moment, Xiaomi's flagships mainly adopt a display design surrounded by ultra-thin left and right edges, while the chin is slightly wider, therefore different from that adopted by devices such as the latest iPhones.

In this regard, an industry insider, Zhu Haizhou, previously pointed out that manufacturers do not want to widen the four edges of the frame as we see on iPhones, but want to increase the screen ratio as much as possible. This makes it more difficult to create a design with four ultra-thin and at the same time symmetrical.

That said, according to what has just been revealed by Ice Universe, it seems that next year's high-end flagships (Xiaomi 13) will finally see a "narrow and four-sided symmetrical" design. By increasing the screen ratio and with a visual effect that will probably be more attractive than that of the iPhone.

In any case, another Chinese leakster, Digital Chat Station, broke the news today that the Xiaomi 13 series (codenamed M2) is already testing Qualcomm's second-generation Snapdragon 8 chip, with the high-end version that it has a 2K screen and could be called Xiaomi 13 Pro.

According to reports, the Xiaomi 13 series could be released in November, with the basic and Pro versions that could be launched at the same time.

Rumors suggest that the second-generation Snapdragon 8 will be based on TSMC's 4nm manufacturing process, using a new eight-core "1 + 2 + 2 + 3" architecture design, compared to the "1 + 3 + 4 ”of the Snapdragon 8+, the former has a larger core and a little less core.

This chip could be released in November, right on board the Xiaomi 13.
