Xiaomi 13 Pro: technical specifications leaked ... what a smartphone beast

The times between the launch of one generation and the other have undoubtedly shortened and so after a few months from the presentation of Xiaomi 12 here is that the attentions turn to the successor, Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, whose specifications have been leaked online .

The presumed launch date of the new flagship of the Chinese house could be immediately after the launch of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, in December, and in view of the few weeks that divide us from this, the mouth is watering. dense, because from what emerged online from a well-known leaker, Xiaomi 13 Pro will be a technological beast difficult to beat but only to fear.

It is the tweet published by the famous leaker Yogesh Brar, to reveal the details of the new Xiaomi 13 Pro. Being a rumor we therefore invite you to take the information with due caution, but this does not make us desist from dreaming. As expected, the tip of Xiaomi branded dimanate will have as a processor the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which will be joined by up to 12 GB of RAM, in addition to the usual 8 GB already seen on other top of the range, while the storage will have 3 different formats, that is 128, 256 and 512 GB, probably not expandable via micro SD.

Quality leap for the display, AMOLED nature provided by Samsung with 2K resolution, LTPO technology and 6,7-inch diagonal. The battery with fast charging support at 120W must be miraculous, considering a capacity of only 4800 mAh, but the new proprietary chip Surge P2 will intervene in this area, specifically designed for the energy management of the processes carried out by the smartphone.

Xiaomi 13 Pro will have triple 50 MP rear camera and Surge C2 chip for energy management

Contrary to what one might think, Xiaomi 13 Pro will not focus on the number of MPs for the cameras used but on the quality of the same. The surprise, however, is that all 3 rear lenses will have a resolution of 50 MP, one of which with ultrawide function and the other as a telephoto lens, while the main lens will rely on the Sony IMX989 sensor, from 1 inch, the same seen on Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The selfie camera instead will be 32 MP.

And the quality of shots and videos taken with Xiaomi 13 Pro will be enormous thanks to the collaboration with Leica, responsible for image processing algorithms such as Leica Color Science, but also to the Surge C2 chipset, an ISP dedicated exclusively to cameras.

The auxiliary processor will help to increase the speed of autofocus, white balance, exposure and improve everything Xiaomi 13 Pro will immortalize. Recall that the first generation of this ISP was adopted by the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold.

Xiaomi 13 Pro: all the details summarized

  • Samsung AMOLED E6 curved screen 6,7 "with 2K resolution and LTPO technology;
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with Adreno 740 graphics;
  • Xiaomi Surge C2 dedicated ISP chip + Xiaomi P2 power management chip;
  • 8 / 12 GB of RAM and 128/256/512 GB of internal storage (not expandable);
  • Triple 50MP rear camera (Sony IMX989) + 50 MP (ultrawide) + 50 (telephoto);
  • Selfie camera from 32 MP;
  • Battery pack from 4800 mAh with 120 W fast charging;
  • Android 13 based on MIUI 14 (???).

We do not know if what has been leaked by Brar corresponds to the truth, even if in the past the leaker has rarely mistaken the hypotheses, but we know that if Xiaomi 13 Pro had these specifications, it could become the best Android smartphone in circulation. For sure it will discuss its price, which even for the latest top of the range of the brand has left a bit of stucco and which seems far from the 5% profit policy promised by Lei Jun. But on the other hand, the electricity and gas bills also pay those of Xiaomi.
