After having witnessed the release of most of the flagships for this 2023, the Xiaomi brand is already working on the release of its next "super flagship" which, like every year, will arrive with the Ultra range, so in this case the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra in global version will arrive in May

Well, according to the latest from Xiaomi, the future 13 Ultra in its global version will be launched in May. While as regards the Chinese variant, the device should be launched in early or mid-April.

Considering that the annual Xiaomi festival takes place on April 6, even more important than the well-known Double 11, at least for Xiaomi, it is very likely that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be released during this period.

Like every generation of Xiaomi's super flagship, the Mi 13 Ultra will still focus on the camera sector. Xiaomi is said to have gone one step further on the basis of the previous generation this time and adopted a combination of quad cameras.

In particular, in addition to the main camera with a one-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, the smartphone will also be equipped with three Sony IMX858 lenses, covering an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 3x portrait lens and a periscope lens respectively, achieving complete coverage of the focal length and full specifications of the main camera.

It is worth noting that Xiaomi has been reported to equip the main camera with the Sony IMX989 sensor with a variable aperture. Thanks to the large sensor and variable aperture you expect high-quality results. Furthermore, with the continuation of the collaboration with Leica, some new algorithms have been developed to obtain better final imaging performance.

As for performance, the Mi 13 Ultra will continue to be equipped with the second generation Snapdragon 8. It will support fast charging which is expected to be upgraded to 90W, saying goodbye to the standard 67W version.

In addition to these upgrades, we will also find new features in the USB Type-C port. Indeed, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra should abandon the USB 2.0 interface and instead use a higher standard transmission interface, at least USB 3.X.
